quality: 8 This is the fourth Washburn
I ve owned. The cedar top is good quality with a nice,
tight grain. The koa back and sides, while not solid, are
beautiful. The flamed maple binding is what really sets this
guitar apart for looks. It is used for the top, back, and neck;
it has a striated pattern that seems to move when you turn the
guitar. It is far superior to the ivoroid or plastic binding
normally used. You really have to see it to appreciate it. gibson guitars
This Washburn sounds good. It isn t tinny; the highs and
lows are very evenly matched and it s fairly loud. I also
own a Guild, Seagull, Simon Patrick, and Cort SFX 5, so I
have a few guitars to compare with the Washburn. I m happy

Here are the negatives: It needed to be set up. I took it to
a repair shop I trust and they changed the strings
(D Addario Lights), set the action, adjusted the truss rod,
and built me a new saddle. The gold-tone Grover tuners are
great, but I don t care for the black plastic tuning
buttons, so I got ordered Grover faux MOP buttons and replaced
them. Everything I did to the guitar after the sale cost about
$90, but it was worth it because this guitar now looks great

It basically seems to be a 000/OM guitar with a solid cedar
top and laminated koa back and sides but. Very bright highs and
clear lows. Finding a guitar in this price range with bone nut

There is nothing in the price range that I have played that

wonderful instrument. Tonal quality and looks could not be
better. The factory setup is good but I l most likely
tweak it a little. The neck is sleek and fast and frets easy.

Play Style Progressive, Jazz, Metal, Rock, Blues...etc... Value
quality: 9 I bought this guitar and it is
honestly a great guitar. The quilt top is nothing more than a
thin veneer so the sound is not affected, but it does make this
a very striking guitar visually. The Edge III does go slightly
flat when under heavy use, but that s expected. The INF
pick-ups could use some definition, but are decent enough.
Bottom line, needs EVO pick-ups and Edge Pro trem. After that
it could be a truly great guitar. As is though, still a great

good. The guitar is worth the money that you pay for the whole
package so its definitely worth the money. Mine came with a
different amp so I really can t say anything about it. The
guitar is pretty good but can be very difficult to keep in

this guitar 2 years ago for Christmas. I still have it today
and its great. I ve only had one problem with the guitar
and it was my own fault, and that was over used to whammy bar.
Other wise I love this guitar, for my first guitar it had
everything I needed. This guitar has that great metal sound
that attracted me to Ibanez in the first place. And that sleek

can t stop playing it. Its everything I wanted in my first
guitar and in any guitar really. My friends are pretty good and
they think its great. I s better than theres, the only one
