German Baroque and Renaissance music featured at Collegium's fall concert

Gibson Guitars Collegium Musicum, the only music ensemble at Luther specializing in baroque, renaissance, and medieval music, will present its first performance of the year Nov. 22 at 4 p.m. in the CFL. The performance is titled "Music of the German Renaissance and Baroque."

Bass Guitar The music department has recently bought three new viols for $6,000 and $1,300 was spent repairing recorders. "The music department has given a lot of support and commitment to Collegium Musicum," said Professor Couch.

Electric Guitar Rehearsals are at 3:30 Mondays and Wednesdays in the JRH and Tuesdays and Thursdays in the CRH, and the ensemble is open through audition. Auditions for spring semester will be later this semester.
